fyi: if you are thinking the top 2 pictures look pretty much the same, look again. the dark circles are gone. anyway, i kind of realised i haven't "save as" before i started working on the photo so when i did save the jpeg, i sort of overwrote my original image. so boohoo....there goes my original ~~fat~~ face. (horray~!) it was only after i realised that i overwrote my original image then i started working on my eyes hence the change in the dark circles only. not so much of a facelift back there. >.<

that only goes to show my ps skills has improved by miles.... yayness~

studio tutor gave me insights about how i should go about designing the 2090 house. he gave me a couple of names of famous architects and ask me to go look up on their works. none of whom i knew, much less spell their names. then he gave me this name that sounded so familiar, so "sense-of-home". he said, "Ken Yeang, a Singapore architect." (having heard "Singapore" in a foreign land, suddenly it seems so heartwarming.)

so i googled for Ken Yeang's picture and look what i found!!!

he was the one who designed the National Library!! i bet besties all don't know. hahaha. but anyway...welldone Ken Yeang!! you've inspired me greatly. (=

Ethical Considerations

Q. We could choose to have changes made to us, but we might also be making the choice for our children if the changes are carried through to the germ-line. Do we have that right, and how far should we take our ability?
A: If the changes made are beneficial, personally I do not see why we should not do that. If removing a particular DNA sequence that could be the cause of a hereditary illness, it will only do good and not harm to the generations thereafter. We definitely have the rights to make alterations to our own bodies but if changes made will affect not only us but also others then the pros and cons of the alteration should be weighed before actually executing it.

Q. Can the slippery slope argument be used to defend a prohibition of germ-line gene therapy?
A: Germ-line gene therapy has proven itself to be a major breakthrough in the world of medical sciences so why would there be any fallacy against it. Gene therapy if used appropriately can indeed prevent and cure many diseases, some of which are incurable. So in order to “cure” these incurable diseases, gene therapy is used to pre-empt it.

Q. Conversely, is it responsible and ethically acceptable to leave the potential of our children to the chance effects of the “genetic lottery”, if we obtain the technological capacity to make positive changes?
A: If we are capable of giving the child a better life, then I am for it. After all, parents wish only the best for their children. If we are able to prevent Down syndrome or dwarfism or gigantism, which are known to shorten the lifespan of individuals, then it is for a good cause. We could only alter the child genetically to perfect it as much as we could to minimise any harmful illness that may befall.

Q. If genetic engineering became the way of the future, would people whose parents could not afford to genetically ‘modify’ them while still in an embryo, have a chance of achieving with high standards compared to the people who were ‘modified’ to be perfect? Should government pay for genetic engineering to prevent this inequality?
A: It is this “inequality” that give rise to competition, hierarchies and individuality. If everyone is the cream of the crop then everyone will come out looking alike. Individuality is lost.

Q. Is it ethical to experiment on embryos that have yet to be born, but are endowed with a soul?
A: Ethically, it is definitely not approved of and stem cell research has always been a controversy, especially embryonic stem cell research. However, embryonic stem cells are capable of dividing indefinitely to form any part of the bodily tissue which contributes to cellular therapeutic solutions to many diseases. It is proven embryonic stem cells can be used to decelerate Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. To give up on a life that we have yet to see and save the lives of many others, cruel and selfish as it may seem, it is a definite worthwhile cause.

Q. How would genetic engineering be used to revolutionize warfare?
A: In the movie, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”, genetic engineering was prevalent. It was a battle between the “normal” people and the mutants. However, the mutants proved to have more humanity than the “normal” humans. The various mutagenic gene of each mutant was taken and then combined to create the ultimate war machine. So my point is that super human genes can be collated and then gathered into a single human body to fashion the perfect weaponry. Soldiers can be constructed to have beyond human endurance and physicality.

Q. Does superior ability breed a superior ambition?
A: Being part of the Homo sapiens, I am always striving to do my best and to be the cream of the crop. I believe it is so for everyone. So even if a human is being genetically engineered to have superior abilities, I believe he will still possess the same ideals of the one who has created him.

Q. Should individuals be allowed to modify their genes if others see this practice as diminishing the human condition?
A: It is very subjective to determine what may be diminishing to the human condition. If incurable diseases can be prevented through means of gene modifications then it should be carried out. Otherwise, there is no need for gene modification I suppose. Plus, I am unable to provide an example of anyone who has modified their gene for the worst. It is rather pointless.

Q. Can we and should we eliminate the flaws in human nature that cause violence and conflict through genetic engineering?
A: Adolf Hitler was a loving husband. He does not drink nor does he smoke but that did not make him a good man in the eyes of others. He propagated warfare and genocide. Even if the flaws of an individual have been eradicated through genetic engineering, does that guarantee his original nature has not gone through any other forms of alteration. Hitler could have been a wretched man in our eyes, but in the eyes of some others, he could have been the ruler of all time.

Q. In gene therapy, does the government have a right to limit what people do with their own bodies?
A: I am sure that prior to making any changes to our own bodies, we have to sign several papers. This is the government’s form of relating the message that we do understand the risks and the after effects that may arise from having undergone genetic transmutation. In democratic countries, the government may not have the full rights of limiting what people wishes to do to their bodies but the government is always there to inform and educate.

Q. In combining human genes and non-human genes, and modifying non-humans with human genes, the question comes about what makes something human or not?
A: It is ironic to say that a being is still human when it has been modified with NON-human genes. That is when the word “chimera” comes into use. However it can be argued that what makes something humans is not its appearance but rather its nature. One can look like human but possess no humanity at all. So for that, I will have to take the stand that humanity in a being is eventually what makes something human.

Q. If gene therapy can ever prevent aging, how far does the moral obligation to save lives extend?
A: This is a question that only the rich can answer. If the cost of the youth elixir proves to be too much for the poor to bear then there will not be any moral obligations to begin of with.

Q. If a person’s genetics are ever drastically altered, should they still be considered the same person? See the ship of Theseus paradox.
A: This is a disputable that has no conclusion. One can alter his/her appearance and still remain that same person inside, while others alter their appearance to assume the title of others. Just like names are used to identify an individual, the appearances are used in similar ways. So whether or not the person is the same inside or out, it is up to him/her to decide and how others perceive it.

Q. Is it acceptable to counteract natural processes in this way? Might there always be a chance of unforeseeable and drastic consequences that result from interfering with nature’s original course? (For example, the Industrial Revolution seriously polluted the atmosphere at a time when the ozone layer was not at all known of or understood by scientists.)
A: Should there be any way of foreseeing the future then it is only right to put a stop to these activities that may eventually be of harm to the human body. However, if we do not try, we will never know. The Industrial Revolution has indeed caused major pollutions but we cannot deny that the benefits that the revolution has brought along with it.

Q. If our emotions will be genetically controllable some day, genetic engineering could potentially be a tool for reducing criminal and other evil emotional instincts. It could also be used by dictatorial governments to ensure complete and unquestioning obedience in its citizens by genetically suppressing independence. In other words, it could become a form of brainwashing, applied before or after birth.
A: I am definitely not in favour of this form of genetic engineering. No matter how perfect the human will turn out to be, it is the ideals of a single individual. Then there will be no difference from forging several individuals with the same ideals, because eventually what the dictatorial governments want are just people who are supportive of their thinking. To have no mindset of oneself is equivalent to not having any individualism. Then what difference will there be from these people and androids?

the meaning to life?

a lifelong question that has bugged many through centuries. i'm thankful i found it today. "it" referring to the answer that i have been seeking for. the key to the puzzle that has stayed unsolved eversince. i believe the first time i ever asked the question was when i was 10. it struck my friends really bad when i asked them. then i reckoned that it wasn't a topic that should be brought forth to the table. it was a topic that was way too sensitive to be discussed yet it is undeniably the objective. as i approach the big 2, i came to realise today that i have found mine. it may be a selfish purpose. it may be a purpose that requires my dad to slog his guts out. it may be a purpose that puts my family to worry. it may be a purpose that requires me to set out on my own, away from home, away from my own space, away from my comfort zone. it was a decision to be made. it was my purpose. the purpose i had been seeking for. as long as i feel that i'm happy. it's worth it. as long as my parents are proud. it's worth it. i wouldn't say i have never disappointed my parents. it was also because of the disappointment that i have caused that resulted in me being here. it was also because of the disappointment that i have let them gone through that they are now able to hold their heads up and be proud of me.

it took me nearly 10years to realise the meaning of my life. do not worry if you have yet to find yours. it's not that you don't have one. it's just that you have yet to find it. =))
patience and perseverance is the key.

a motivational speaker came in today during studio to talk about success. usually i find this kinda of talks boring and repetitive but she was really good. i was absolutely amused by her.

so what comes at the end of the rainbow is not as important as long as we have the right attitude. attitude to think, to dream, to believe and eventually to value.

After several exchange of emails with cake tutor, i finally arranged a time to meet him today!! XD
to get the final folio feedback form. (the form didn't really matter, afterall i've already got my grades and taken my folio and models back. it was about meeting him. >.<)

so i met cake tutor in his office today and had a quick chat. *irregular palpitations*
he asked about the current studio i was in and he appeared interested. (he could have just be polite but i was glad.)
laughed a little. he said good luck in my new studio.
and then i told him, "I missed the cakes though." he laughed even more.
(what i really meant to say was, "I missed the cake...tutor.") >.<

took back my 60% essay today as well(from last semester).
i've got 67. it wasnt a bad mark considering i dont have that linguistic flare that the angmohs possessed but it was an original 70 then scaled to 68 and scaled down again to 67.
(!#$%^*& what is wrong with the bell curve system?!!) it couldnt have been more demoralising. =.=
cant the bell curve just go the other way?? it would have seemed more promising for me if the marks were scaled UP instead.

1st day of school and we were asked to duct-tape and bubble-wrap the class.
the entire learning outcome was to separate spaces in the room.
innovative? (maybe.)
environtally-friendly? (not really...)

now our class looks like a major icebox at the back of a charcuterie with all that plastic hanging from the walls.
the best part is...the class will stay like that for the entire semester. (well-done!! =.=)
it would have been even more convincing if we were strung up on an A-frame scaffold. (ominous way to start off a semester.) >.<

the class...looking absolutely clueless as to what we were suppose to do. (i had the exact same look imprinted on my face.)

potluck with the girls was a major success!!!
i have to confess that potluck may not be the best way to have a gathering if you're thinking of saving up on meals. well definitely not a good money-saving plan if you decide to prepare what i did. beef was costly and so was the spices. the worst thing was i couldn't find anywhere selling cumin powder within the vicinity of my neighbourhood. travelled all the way to bedok interchange just to get cumin powder, only to realise it's called 小茴香. =.=
i bet it's selling in every provision shop in the market, just that the auntie had no clue what cumin was. one of them confidently replied with with a "NO." when i asked if she's selling cumin powder. as i was about to turn away, she looked at me and asked, "what's cumin?". (auntie...so cute hor.)

here i have is the recipe from which i used to cook the beef rendang. it's really easy to follow and it came out beautifully.

Beef Rendang

(taken from The New Mrs. Lee's Cookbook: Nonya Cuisine)

Ingredients
-1 onion
-600 g beef shin
-500 g grated coconut
-1 rounded tbsp tamarind (asam) pulp
-1 tsp sugar
-1 tsp salt

Paste
-4 slices galangal
-4 slices ginger
-4 cloves garlic
-15 dried chillies or 2 tbsp pounded red chillies
-1 stalk lemon grass
-1 tbsp coriander powder
-1/2 tsp cumin

1. Peel and roughly slice the galangal, ginger and garlic.
2. Peel and slice the onion. Set aside.

3. Prepare the coconut milk. (alternatively, you can use those packed ones.)
4. Prepare the tamarind marinade: soak the tamarind pulp in 120 ml of warm water for 5 minutes. Squeeze the seeds and fiber with your fingers to extract as much juice and flavor as possible. Strain and discard fibers.

5. Soak the dried chillies for the paste in hot water. Deseed them and roughly chop the soaked dried chilies (use a lot less if you are not used to spiciness).

6. Pound/blend them together with the coriander powder and cumin. Add the peeled and bruised lemon grass last (use the white portion only).

7. Slice/Dice the beef according to your own preference.
8. Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to boil then simmer uncovered until the sauce has reduced by half. Cover and simmer for 30 mins until the meat is tender. (i had the beef boiling for more than 2hours to reduce the sauce to desired consistency. =.=)

when 3 financially handicapped people are stuck together, they talk about money.

so i realise ahtan and i aren't as broke as we claim to be. (we are still surviving on our reserves but it doesn't mean we're starving. at least our reserves will only run dry til the next time when we get our salary.) meixin is in constant poverty. even when both her sisters and her brother are giving her allowance, amounting to quite a sum(*coughs*coughs*). she still finds herself running out of money. (米田共)

my reserves won't last me long. if i spend only on lunches and transport, i should be able to keep my salary til the next time i come back. so while i'm working(and have yet to receive my salary), at least i will have money to spend on meals. this is what i call 未雨绸缪. after doing all the math...that would equate to not being able to spend a single cent during GSS!!! (AAHHH~~~!!!!!)
to think that was one of the factors that was pulling me back to Singapore. =.=

the thought of being able to earn extra cash on weekends burst when jx texted to say that the fleamarket is full.

This is an entry for those who have been bugging me for the recipe. =))
ok...so i promised that i'll scan the recipe and send it over in a couple of days. i beg your pardon for my lousy memory. XD

SOON KUEH (TEOCHEW)

Skin ingredients:
-125g wheat starch (sunflower brand)
-100g tapioca flour (fei ren brand)
-1/2 tsp table salt
-400ml boiling water
-1 tbsp cooking oil

Filling ingredients:
-400g turnip, shredded
-100g carrot, shredded
-30g dried shrimp, soaked
-15g dried mushrooms, soaked and sliced
-1 tbsp chopped garlic

(fyi: the amount of dried shrimp, mushrooms and garlic need not be so accurate. if you like more mushrooms then put more. you can put in black fungus as well. =D)

Seasoning:
-1/2 tbsp pepper
-1 tsp salt
-1 tsp sugar
-1 tbsp light soy sauce
-1 tsp msg(optional)

Method:

(Dough)
1. Mix wheat starch, tapioca flour and salt together.
2. Boil water and slowly pour into flour mixture and stir continuously to form dough.
3. Leave dough to cool. (put a clean wet cloth over dough to retain moisture)
4. After dough is cooled, add in oil and mix well till dough no longer sticks to hands.

(Filling)
1. DO NOT shred turnip or carrot using shredder, use knife to cut into shreds. (to retain the juices and flavour)
2. Put in dried shrimp in heated wok to allow any water to evaporate first before putting in oil.
3. Allow dried shrimp to be fried to a crispy texture before putting in garlic. Fry till golden brown.
4. Add in mushrooms, stirfry till fragrant.
5. Lastly, add in turnip and carrot. (DO NOT ADD WATER.)
6. Use medium heat, stirfry till turnip and carrot becomes soft.
7. Turn off the fire and add in seasoning.

(Steaming)
1. Steam on medium fire for 10minutes. Make sure water boiling before putting to steam.
2. Remove from steamer, brush on shallot oil and sprinkle with fried shallots.

I'm feeling very gracious today and so i shall share my belachan chilli recipe as well. XD
It goes very well with the soonkuehs.

BELACHAN CHILLI

Ingredients:
-50g chopped shallots
-25g chopped garlic
-50g dried shrimp, soaked and grounded
-15g chopped belachan
-30g chopped candlenuts (buar keluas)
-100g chilli paste (chap lemuar brand/ malabar brand)
-1 level tbsp sugar
-150ml oil

Method:
1. Soak candlenuts in water for 10min till soft then chop till fine.
2. Fry grounded dried shrimp(with NO oil) to remove any moisture.
3. Blend all ingredients(excluding dried shrimp) together into paste.
4. DO NOT heat wok. Using oil(at room temp), pour in paste and grounded dried shrimp, put on low heat and keep stirring for 30min. (oil to paste ratio = 1:1)
5. Turn off heat then add in sugar.

as the war in the kitchen continue to rage, shreds of carrots and turnip flew across the battlefield.

then we had the case of the overdone shallots. only one word to describe it's intensity. "BLACK."

spent an eventful day with tracy yesterday.

an assignment from another module required us to construct a structure from a single material.
without using any glue(other than gluing the top layer on), it took me ages to build this structure which could hold more than 10litres of water.

immediately after the construction of my model, i had to wreck it!! wee~

went to the toilet to wreck my model, ethel was most enthusiastic when it came to wrecking my structure. XD

at 10kg of weight.

actually it could have held more weight, due to some technical glitch during the construction and my laziness to cut more cardboard to enhance the strength, it was nearly as good as gone by 10litres of water.

dinner last night at currie hall was bad...
so ethel and i went to city, met up with ginny, to shop for groceries.
paid a total of $14.80 for pasta sauce, mozzarella, bacon and fresh button mushrooms.
we wanted to cook pasta initially but we didn't manage to get the fusilli from daniel.
so we had instant noodles, add egg!!! tom yam flavoured~ yums...

our yummilicious dinner, served at 10pm. =.=

we bought bacon, fresh button mushrooms and stirfry them all in the rice-cooker.

then we added mozzarella into the pot. OMG...(though it doesn't look very convincing, it tasted out-of-world!!)

almost everyone in the hall was saying our food smells really good when they pass by the stairways. =D

eating to our hearts' content!!

thanks to milk and jennifier for bringing us around. went to northbridge(aka chinatown). doesn't look anything like chinatown but that's where i had my dim sum the other day with my aunt. we found timezone at chinatown!!! somehow i felt close to home. haha. the arcade was very rundown and the games available was very minimal. there were neoprint machines which cost $3.50!! woohoo~~ back then i use to pay $10-$15 for neoprints. but the quality of this neoprint was rather lousy(as you can see.)

p.s(milk is my architecture friend, thailand girl. actual name is wipada but we just call her milk. she's doing year1 as well but has been living here for 3years already. that's so hardcore!! jennifer is milk's friend back in high school. the 2 of them brought us around. i'm looking for a printer. cheap deals anyone??)

went to harbour town (again) with ethel, ginny, nicholasTAN(with his lomography) and paul. i bought my sports shoes!! at $70. U.P $120. a definite bargain for a pair of adidas running shoes. i reckoned that i would need to jog on a irregular basis to maintain my current weight. (jogging on a regular basis would result in me slimming down but being very shag. i don't want to be very shag.)

my 1st busride in Perth.

went to this Chinese restaurant for dimsum with my aunt and cousins. Geez...i think i missed chinese food quite a lot. tasted really heartwarming and good! chef is a HongKonger.

good food always attracts the crowd.

train station. (some what like our mrt)

there's this very good mime that we came across while in the city. he stands there motionless before his box until someone drops money into it.

i put in a dollar and he started offering his hand for a handshake. he was actually posing for the camera but i was attempting to take a video so the front part of the video looks very stone.

this is a handphone!! cost $600++. super cool. O.o imagine bringing a ferrari around and picking up the "phone" when it starts making honking noises(or whatever your ringtone may be.)
there's a camera on the windscreen!

teatime at Miss Maud. serves really good swedish desserts, pastries and beverages. i had an ice mocha which was very much to my liking. not too sweet or overwhelmingly chocolatey.

p.s(i had to put that heart there to cover up the folds of tummy. see ahtan!!! where got slim down lor. =.=)

there was a welcome dinner back at Currie Hall for all the students. so i came back for that.

this is the entree...sushi! there was suppose to be wasabi below the salmon but it didn't taste like it. as in it wasn't hot nor spicy nor choking. just taste like salmon sushi with NO wasabi. aussies really can't take the spice. the chilli served at the chinese restaurant was mildly hot only, actually (in my opinion) it wasn't even spicy, i finished 2 dishes of chilli! overall still good though. =D

the entree for vegetarians...avocado.

i forgot to take a picture of the main course. it was quite average. i finished my 2nd cup of red wine when i was in the middle of my main course. then i downed another cup of white wine. the white wine was nice. a tinge of sweetness to it. altogether i had like 3 cups of wine.

but i was nowhere close to K.O. yet. felt the heat in my face though.

dessert...banana moouse on chocolate sponge cake with coffee sweet sauce.

shopping in aussie is not as expensive as i thought!! woohoo~
ethel's dad rent a car and drove us around to shop in the afternoon. =DD
spent $75 in a single shop. the turquoise tank top inside is actually kind of pricey but i bought it anyway cause i was totally in a shopping mood. =D
the long-sleeve actually cost $19.95 but if when i was at the counter, the lady told me that the long-sleeve was from the 2 for $20 section. so if i get a 2nd piece, i'll just need to top up $0.05. like why not??!! haha. i can pick anything from the section(took a white camisole with small sequins, actually looks average but add another $0.05 only!! lol.)

here's a better view of the $30 shorts. i admit the shorts was over-priced also but i realise i had too little clothes(even my room-mate said so). so i just bought it. totally splurging today. =.=

cute pants, i really can't remember why i didn't buy this. O.o

i think this cost $5?? yup..i remember entering a shop that sells shorts for $5 and it's really pretty. jiaxian will go gaga over this. lol. i didn't take a good picture of it. but there's other shorts on sale as well. this one made my hips look super round.

it's a factory outlet where they sell different brands of clothes with a little defect at really cheap prices or the clothes are left with minimal sizes. if you don't like goods with defects, you can pay a little more and get goods that are perfectly in good condition.

there are several brands and no brand clothes selling at rather affordable prices. there's roxy, espirit, billabong, tommy hilfiger, cotton on. i bought my stuff from just jeans. the entire place closes at 5.30pm. =(

TADAH~!! this is my room. there's a connecting door behind where i was taking the picture from, that is where my roomie stays. so the room looks spacious but it's not. bed looks big but it's only single. the bedframe was falling apart so i had to write a feedback at the reception. "complained" about the single phoneline that ethel and i are sharing. we should be having 2 phonelines, according to the chadmin who emailed me. overall, i'm getting used to it. i'm sleeping well. =) there's hot water in the showers! wee~
ethel's parents are here and they have been really nice. her parents were anxious about the both of us settling down. but i'm doing very well. opened a bank account on my own today and bought an international call card, which i'll be using tonight. (yippee~)
i'm an independent girl!! no more, "Daddy, aiya wo bu hui la!" or "mummy, ni ke yi bang wo zuo..." nobody to help me with anything so i left to fend for myself. haha. good thing got friends. phew~

view outside my room. if you think this is pretty, you should really see the entire campus. i almost felt like i'm living in Hogwarts. LOL~ there's a very ancient tree and buildings built using red bricks. very beautiful~ air is good. =)
summer here is killing me. =.= UWA sure is turning on the heat to express their warmest welcome for the students. temperatures rise up to 40degreesCelsius in mid-day. i had to put on sunblock everyday. plus, because it's summer, there's alot of flies. O.o darn it. cause of all places, the flies love to attack the face. =.= (like i've got enough pimples already!!) water here taste funny. taste very viscous. weather is super hot but at least it's not humid, so i don't have to sweat so much.

went cycling with my cousin on wednesday(28jan).

the wind was really strong that day, plus we were by the beach so my hair was in a mess.
i looked like some absurd, self-obsessed, high-foreheaded freak with a horrid center parting. T_T

i booked a double-cycler bike for 2hours. i wanted to get my brother to cycle with me but he was too engrossed with the gambling at the chalet. so off i went with rc(rong chang) on our cycling adventure.

yesterday, i went to attend the pre-departure briefing. good thing susanna was there to keep me company. the briefing wasn't really as boring as i thought it would be but it's always nice to have somebody that you know closeby. =))

after dinner, we(including the currie hall people) went shopping. it was our maiden experience waiting for a guy buying clothes. O.o

the whole shopping experience was just waiting and more waiting. at the end, we stood in the middle of nowhere and started chatting.
okay...so maybe we weren't the ones talking, only brandon and jason. so everybody got super restless. daniel said my face turned black and i told him i was never very fair in the first place. haa. and i told him i noticed his bitter smile which he was trying very hard to hide. so eventually the talk ended when verna interrupted the conversation by saying her father was here to fetch her. (hallelujah~~!!)

i have packed my luggage.
not all of what i need is packed inside, only most of it.
there are so many things that i want to bring with me. the more physical items that i can't bring, i can always get my parents to DHL over. what i'm hoping to bring are those that i can't bring over. most of which is what i would call, "Memories~". the smell of my pillow, the drool on my bolster(ok..i don't drool, even if i do, i'll change my sheets.), my friends, my jie-meis, my si dang, my madajiasijia(s) and this place that i call, "Home~", a place that holds much memories and my childhood, all of these which i would miss dearly.

meet up with me people(before i go off)!! it'll be a whole good year the next time you see me. =(

i've booked and made payment for my air ticket. =DD

my aunt said that this was a blessing in disguise.
(this refers to not being able to enter the initial school of my choice)

at first, i don't see why. but now i understand.

i've climbed the ladder till this far. perhaps at that time i missed a rung when i should have gone rung by rung, one step at a time. missing that single rung made me fell, i kept falling until i grabbed the ladder and set off for my climb once again. looking back, i realise i've gone far but the ladder before me seems even further(taller). my goals are high and so i shall climb, rung by rung, one step at a time.

finished watching HOTSHOT.

the first few episodes were rather boring (with several pinches of lame-ness).
ShowLuo is still as cute and charming. (blows me away~~)

towards the end, it gets really exciting. good show but not as good as Show's previous drama serials(Corner with Love).

this is like the first time when other male leads capture my attention. JerryYan was equally breath-taking. and when both Show and Jerry fell for the same girl(TracyZhou), i actually wished for DongFangXiang(Jerry) to be with Jie-er(Tracy)!!!

perhaps one of the reasons why i had wished for that is because eventually i get to own YuanDaYing(Show)!!

spent my christmas overseas this year.
had a taste of Vietnamese-styled christmas.
definitely comparable to Singapore. (lights and all)

hated the part when there's constant short circuits. imagine yourself in the midst of a shower and the lights went off and the water runs cold. =.=
otherwise, christmas in Vietnam was fun. =))
